path intl. launches first virtual conference

DenverIn an effort to reduce the costs associated with attending an in-person conference and in order to increase the availability of outstanding educational content, PATH Intl. is excited to announce its inaugural virtual conference, May 17 and 18, 2017. This first-ever virtual conference is an online learning experience that provides an important professional education opportunity to individuals in equine-assisted activities and therapies (EAAT). This virtual event will consist of ten total educational sessions, including five hour-long sessions each day from speakers with diverse areas of expertise such as healthcare professionals, individuals from the education and special education fields, mental health professionals, center program directors, administrative personnel and credentialed professionals. The two-day event will be held completely online so that participants can conveniently participate from anywhere they have access to a computer and the internet.

The conference is designed for those who work or want to work in the EAAT field, such as PATH Intl. Certified Professionals, individual members, administrative personnel, healthcare professionals and equine specialists. Content from novice to master levels will be offered.

PATH Intl. has hand-picked the individuals who will lead the sessions. These speakers were chosen because of their reputation and expertise in specific topics and are also individuals who will make this online format as empowering, informative and enlightening as the annual PATH Intl. Conference. Speakers will include Michael Kaufmann, 2016 PATH Intl. James Brady Professional Achievement Award recipient and the Farm & Wildlife Director at Green Chimneys Farm in Brewster, NY; Joelle Devlin, PATH Intl. Certified Master Instructor at SIRE in Houston, TX; Melissa Abbey, a marriage and family therapist and PATH Intl. Certified Registered Instructor at Lichen Oaks Adaptive Riding Center in Felton, CA; and Dr. Aubrey Fine, professor, psychologist and author on children with ADHD and learning disabilities.

Registration will open in March. Click here for more information.
