Fundraising Expert to Speak at Conference General Session

No one understands this better than Kim Klein, internationally known fundraising trainer, who is the general session speaker at the 2010 NARHA National Conference and Annual Meeting on November 4. Kim has worked in all aspects of fundraising, as staff, volunteer, board member and now consultant with Klein & Roth Consulting. She is best known for adapting traditional fundraising techniques, including major donor campaigns, to the needs of smaller organizations.

Kim is the author of five books, including Fundraising for Social Change, which is widely used in the field and in university degree programs. Her most recent book is Reliable Fundraising in Unreliable Times.

Kim is also featured in the fundraising video "Ready, Set, Raise," produced by Grassroots Institute for Fundraising Training, where she also writes a column answering readers' questions. Find out more about Kim's consulting business at www.kleinandroth.com.

A Note From Our Intern
NARHA received this note from our temporary events assistant Leah Hoeboerer of the Colorado State University Equine Sciences program. Leah helped this year's NARHA Region Conference schedule run smoothly. We thank and will miss her. Good luck, Leah!

Dear Kaye and Jaime,

I wanted to take a minute to say thank you for the wonderful opportunity you have given me over the past few months. I have learned so much and I wouldn't trade this opportunity for anything else. I sincerely appreciate how kind you and everyone else at NARHA have been. NARHA is being run by the best group of women (and man) that I could imagine! Thank you again for everything.
Best wishes,
Leah
Join NARHA's Click4Cash
click4cash logoWe are having a lot of fun and generating public interest for the EAAT industry through NARHA's partnership with Equestrian Collections. Nearly 100 NARHA centers are enjoying receiving their proceeds checks in the mail for the purchases their communities have made through their websites. To keep the fun rolling, Equestrian Collections will give one lucky center a $100 gift certificate for joining the NO COST program. They will announce the recipient in the June 2nd edition of NARHA News. Click here and follow the steps to join.

We have created a shopping area on Equestrian Collections for EAAT-focused products, but your shoppers can shop the entire site, maximizing the potential revenue for your center. All you have to do is get shoppers to click on your Shop & Change a Life button before they do the regular shopping they would do anyway. Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with step-by-step instructions for how to retrieve the Shop & Change a Life banner to place on your center's website.
