NARHA 2010 Awards Program |
|
Nominations Due by May 14, 2010
Every year riders, instructors, volunteers and equines
invest time and energy to continue developing the EAAT

of all these individuals and equines is outstanding, and
NARHA takes this opportunity to honor those people with
our 2010 awards program.
Click here to download the 2010 criteria and
nomination forms for our Volunteer, Equine, Instructor,
Equestrian, Sis Gould, Veteran or James Brady

those dedicated to this amazing industry.

all criteria for each award carefully and submit a
complete application for the award of your choice.
Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Award nominations are due by May 14, 2010. Please have
them postmarked by this date or submitted via email by

Instructor Candidate Reminder
|
|
Reminder to all NARHA instructor candidates: if you
began the instructor process by sending your instructor
application to the NARHA office prior to
January 1, 2010, you will complete your instructor
process under the same guidelines you started with.
Therefore, you will not complete the
additional requirements detailed in the 2010 registered
booklet.
If you sent your application to the NARHA office
after January 1, 2010, you will
complete all requirements outlined in the 2010
Registered Booklet. Candidates attending the on-site
instructor workshop in 2010 will be attending a 2
day workshop. Candidates testing in 2010 will need to
review the criteria located in the registered booklet,
beginning on page 16. This criteria describes the
skills you should possess as a NARHA instructor and
detail what you will demonstrate during your practical
riding and teaching exam at the on-site certification.
An updated Registered Booklet for 2010 is online for
your review. Please
All candidates can attend the workshop and
certification together where they are offered. The
Riding Certification Subcommittee continues to recommend
attending them separately so candidates have the
opportunity to practice new skills after the workshop,
prior to attending certification.
Please note your workshop is good for two years from
the time you take it, even if you took the workshop
prior to 2010. Your 25 hours of practice instructor
teaching are also good for two years.
Please email Tara McChesney at
[email protected] or call (800) 369-RIDE (7433)
with any questions you may have regarding the 2010
on-site instructor workshop and certification process.
Thank you!

Let Your Voice Be Heard
|
|
The electronic communities
survey will close March 26.
Please give us your valuable input in regards to how an
electronic community can best serve NARHA members across
the U.S. and the world. To fill out the survey please
click here. The survey will take approximately three
minutes of your time.
|
Input Needed From NARHA Parents |
|
Are you a NARHA parent or do you know
one? Samantha is asking for NARHA parents' input for her
current research project to help determine whether or not
equine-assisted activities have any links with aggression
and social competence in children with special needs. She is
asking for centers to forward the survey link to parents,
and for parents to follow the link and complete the survey.
For more information and access to the survey,
please click here.

CLICK4CASH Program |

Free Program Offers Centers Extra Revenue
As you've probably read, Equestrian Collections has partnered
with NARHA to bring every NARHA center the ability to get CASH
based on the buying power of your centers, membership, friends,
family and volunteers.
NARHA recognizes that in these tough times, even the most
deserving and efficient NARHA member centers need extra
revenue sources. To this end, NARHA has launched the
CLICK4CASH program in conjunction with Equestrian Collections.
The CLICK4CASH program is a FREE, NO COST program that can
bring your center an ongoing CASH income. Your center will
receive 8 percent of every order that originates from your
website. This is a WIN-WIN - NO COST, and UNLIMITED potential
earnings for your center.
We have created a
shopping area on Equestrian Collections for EAAT-focused
products, but your shoppers can shop the entire site,
maximizing the potential revenue for your center. All you
have to do is get shoppers to click on your Shop &
Change a Life button before they do the regular
shopping they would do anyway.
Sign up today for the CLICK4CASH program. You cannot lose with
this FREE, NO COST program!
Click here and follow the steps to join.
Once you have signed up, you will receive an email with
step-by-step instructions for how to retrieve the Shop &
Change a Life banner to place on your center's website.
Any questions? Please
email Nina and reference CLICK4CASH in the subject line.
Participating centers report having
already received their first checks from ShareASale,
some totaling nearly $200!
